TFT desperately needs your help to fight the injustice of

As a dedicated supporter of the arts and our cherished community, we are reaching out to you on behalf of Titchfield Festival Theatre (TFT) with a matter of utmost importance.

In recent times, TFT has faced formidable challenges, including legal battles with our local council, Fareham Borough Council (FBC). Despite our relentless efforts, the support from our patrons, and the unwavering dedication of our team, we find ourselves in a precariousposition. The threat of closure looms large over our beloved theatre: its fate determined by a Planning Enquiry to be held on 14-16 May 2024 concerning the Arden Theatre, which FBC wishes to close. If the Arden Theatre was forced to close, it would jeopardise the livelihoods of 15 dedicated individuals – and also deal a devastating blow to our vibrant community.

Why we need your help
As a beacon of creativity and culture in our community, TFT has tirelessly served as a hub for artistic expression, education, and community engagement. We take immense pride in our commitment to making theatre accessible to all, keeping ticket prices affordable, and fostering a nurturing environment for budding talents. Our outreach programmes extend far beyond the stage, touching the lives of over 350 children weekly, bringing the magic of theatre to schools and nursing homes, and providing essential storage space for variouscharitable groups, including the Fareham Men's Shed, Rotary, Lions, and Sea Scouts.
 
How you can help
We are therefore seeking the help of our dedicated group of theatre supporters; asking for your help to stand with us in this time of need. We have launched a fundraising campaign on JustGiving, aiming to raise much needed funds to bolster our legal efforts and safeguard the future of TFT. We understand the significance of this request and the weight of the challenges before us, but we remain steadfast in our resolve to overcome them, with your invaluable support.
 

If every patron and supporter (there are 7000 of you) could spare £10, we would reach our target easily. We appreciate times are tough, and £10 might be a stretch for some people, so if you could spare more, this would be tremendous. You will allow us to continue to serve the community and provide the vital lifeline that so many people now depend on.
